Binding

Primarily used for simply securing the edges of a carpet against fraying, it is the most commonly employed repair on synthetic broadloom pieces.  A lot of our clients have area rugs & scatter mats cut and bound out of carpet that was originally destined for disposal.  This is a very cost-effective method of getting the accurate size of rug you need.

Once bound, a ¼" will be shown on the face of your carpet.  Binding tape comes in several dozen colours so a match is quite easy make.  We offer binding in the standard easy-to-clean polyester or vibrant cotton tapes. 

Sisal Wide Binding - 3" & 5"

Wide binding has become a designers dream allowing for an otherwise simplistic rug to be dressed up & customized to suit interior tastes.  This has become a popular modern trend for dining rooms & bedroom rugs to offer more visual appeal while cleanly framing a room.

In the 3" width, we have a selection of 30 colours and for 5" widths a selection of 10 colours allowing for accurate customization & complementation of your home décor. 

This rug binding is made entirely from the highest quality of nature's finest materials. They are recommended and used for sea grass, bamboo, jute, coir, wool, mountain grass and sisal rugs.

Serging

Serging is an edging for a carpet designed to prevent fraying & deterioration.  It typically is found on the edges of wool carpets.  This service is usually done when fringes are replaced or as a repair to section of existing serging that has come unraveled. We offer a generous selection of solid & multi-coloured threads to choose from. 

Fringe

Fringes wear and discolour over time, pets can wreak havoc on them and vacuum cleaners can sometimes do quite a number.  These can be replaced.  Our selection includes over 16 varieties of fringes in various lengths and styles.  Our standard colours come in white, cream, tea, antique blue, khaki green or black.
